Mr Ugo Ettore Di Stefano, lawyer - Chairperson
A law graduate of the Università Cattolica di Milano, he completed a postgraduate course at Università Statale di Milano per la Scuola per le Professioni Forensi [School for Legal Professions] and he has a master’s degree from SDA Bocconi. He passed the bar exam and worked as a lawyer and official at the Istituto di Previdenza Giornalisti, before joining the Mondadori Group where, to date, he is Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs and DPO of the Group; he is also a member of various Boards of Directors of subsidiaries and affiliates. He teaches at various training institutions for lawyers and company lawyers and actively participates in conferences and events. He also contributes to publications on various current legal issues.
Mr Andrea d’Agostino, lawyer - Vice-Chairperson
Lawyer specialised in M&A, as well as data protection and tech-law, he built his professional expertise both within national and international business law firms, and in consulting and multinationals firms. A law graduate of the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, he also has a master’s degree in law and business from the Business School of Il Sole 24 Ore and in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He is licenced to practice law in various legal systems, he has authored numerous publications in legal and trade journals, co-authored a monograph on the GDPR compliance process and lectured at numerous conferences on data protection, new technologies, M&A and company law. He currently holds the position of Senior Legal Counsel and Privacy Manager for the Mondadori Group and teaches at various training institutions and business schools. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the TopLegal Academy, member since 2012 of the New York State Bar Association, member since 2019 of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Mr Luca Romolo Barlassina, lawyer - Trustee and Treasurer
Lawyer specialised in M&A, he has also worked in the field of real estate law and privacy ever since his early years as a lawyer. He built his professional expertise in business law firms both in Italy and in the United States; specifically, at Pavia and Ansaldo, Milan, and Thorp Reed & Armstrong, Philadelphia. He has a Law Degree from Università degli Studi di Milano, he attended the Master’s in Corporate Law of Il Sole 24 Ore, as well as courses in international law at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in London. He authored numerous publications on real estate, corporate and capital market law. He is regularly involved as a speaker in numerous conferences and seminars, specifically on company law, M&A and data protection topics. He currently holds the position of M&A Senior Legal Counsel for the Mondadori Group.
Ms Emanuela Vecchione - Trustee
Company lawyer specialised in administrative and public procurement law; she built her professional expertise both within leading national and international law firms and in-house at some of the main national contracting authorities. She is currently in charge of the legal department of Concessioni Autostradali Lombarde S.p.A., the body granting motorway concessions for the building and management of Brebemi, Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda and Tangenziale Est Esterna di Milano (as well as, in the past, the management of public infrastructures relating to the Milan 2015 EXPO). She has a Law Degree from Università degli Studi di Napoli Suor Orsola Benincasa; she also attended the Scuola di specializzazione per le professioni legali [Specialisation School for Legal Professions] at the same university and has a master’s degree in law and business from the Business School of Il Sole 24 Ore.
